ニーディギャラリーでは、約2年ぶり3度目となる画家・狩野岳朗の個展を開催いたします。これまで表現の一役を担っていたセオリーや言葉から一旦離れ、心の奥底にある曖昧な感覚を、より純粋に形にしたいという表明で題された「untitled」。ある種の束縛から解き放たれ、新たな模索により描かれた作品からは、瑞々しいエネルギーが感じられます。本展では、初のギャラリーでの滞在制作による作品を含む約12点の最新の油彩画を発表いたします。ぜひ足をお運びください。
For the first time in two years, Nidi Gallery is proud to present its third edition of the artist Takero Kano’s solo exhibition. “Untitled” is a brief separation from the theory and words that play a role of Kano's expression up until now; it is a declaration of the desire to put into pure form the vague feelings at the bottom of his heart. These works are painted free from some kind of restraints and with a new sense of exploration, and they give a fresh energy. In this exhibition, we will present 12 of Kano's latest oil paintings, including his first works produced while in residence at a gallery. Please come and visit us.
狩野岳朗 Takero Kano
1975年、群馬県生まれ。画家。植物や自然を観察し、生命感を探りながら抽象絵画を制作する。個展での作品発表の他、ワークショップやライブ活動、書籍の装画やアパレルブランドとのコラボなどを手がける。2011年、古物、制作物を扱うIONIO&ETNAを立上げる。仕事として、土屋鞄製造所 2017クリスマスビジュアル、「僕の音楽畑にようこそ」服部克久 著、「晴れたり曇ったり」川上弘美 著、「哲学散歩」木田 元 著などの装画、Number連載 西川美和エッセイの挿絵やアパレルブランド「sneeuw」とのコラボレーション等。
