この度、ニーディギャラリーでは初となるロンドン在住フランス人アーティスト ジョアンナ・タガダの個展を開催いたします。油彩画、コラージュ、布を用いたインスタレーションなど、幅広い媒体で作品制作をするジョアンナ・タガダ。心が和むような柔らかい色や繊細な表現を通して、環境保全へのメッセージを投げかけています。本展では、哲学者アルネ・ネスの著作から着想を得た新作のペインティングや、彼女を取り巻く様々な環境への備忘録と色彩の研究のために制作しているコラージュシリーズ「Cocooning」から厳選した作品に加え、天然染色と刺繍が印象的な最新作の布を用いた対話型インスタレーション「Penser, Manger, Partager」を発表いたします。ぜひこの機会にタガダの最新作に触れにお越しください。

Nidi Gallery is proud to present London-based French artist Johanna Tagada’s first solo exhibition at the gallery. Tagada oeuvre encompasses a wide array of mediums, including oil paintings, collages and textile installations. Through soft and delicate expressions, often described as calming one's mind, the artist’s practice conceals ecological messages. Tagada's latest interactive textile installation Penser, Manger, Partager, created with a singular use of natural dyes and embroideries is to be exhibited, along recent paintings inspired by philosopher Arne Naess’ writings, and selected pieces from the collage series Cocooning, which function as aide memoirs and colours studies. 1990年、フランス生まれ。個展は「E’pistolaire Imaginaire – Merci 」Galerie Jean-Francois Kaiser/ フランス・ストラスブール (2017年)、「E’pistolaire Imaginaire – Le Refuge」Egg / ロンドン（2016年）など。グループ展は「Inaka no Hana 」Nidi Gallery / 東京 (2017年)、「To Hide To Show 」Mama Gallery / ロサンゼルス (2015年) などを開催。ディープエコロジー運動に合わせて、芸術、出版、テキスタイルに焦点を当てた共同プロジェクト「Poetic Pastel」の創設者でもある。
